For the single release of "Ur So Gay", Katy Perry's label asked her to include a cover song. She stated in an interview with Prefix magazine:

So I’m back to square one, and I go out dancing with my girls. “Use Your Love,” the original version by the Outfield, comes on, and immediately every girl hits the dance floor.
