Russel Edward Brand (born June 4, 1975) is an English actor and comedian who was the spouse of singer and actress Katy Perry. He has appeared in films such as St. Trinian's, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Bedtime Stories, Despicable Me, Hop, and Arthur.
He married Katy Perry on October 23, 2010. Brand achieved fame in the UK for presenting a Big Brother spin-off, Big Brother's Big Mouth, and for his radio show, among other television series and award ceremonies. The Katy Perry song "Not Like the Movies" was written about Brand. The song "Teenage Dream" is also speculated to be about him. On December 30, 2011, Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry due to "irreconcilable differences".
