Orlando Bloom

Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Copeland Bloom is a British actor who first rose to fame portraying Legolas in the Lord of The Rings trilogy and later Will Turner in the Pirates of The Caribbean films. He has appeared in other films such as Troy, Kingdom of Heaven, and Elizabethtown.

Background[]

Born in Canterbury, Kent, Orlando made his film debut with a small role in the 1997 film Wilde. He was cast as Legolas in Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of The Ring two days after he had graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. His work as Legolas in all 3 Lord of The Ring films lead to what some consider his biggest role to date, blacksmith turned pirate Will Turner, in three of the four Pirates of The Caribbean films opposite Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley. He reprised his role as Will Turner in the fifth Pirates film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, released on May 26, 2017. He also later reprised his role as Legolas in the Hobbit film trilogy.

In addition to his film work, Orlando has also worked in theater, appearing in plays such as the David Storey play In Celebration, and has also appeared on TV shows such as Extras.

Personal Life[]

Before Katy, Orlando was married to model Miranda Kerr from 2010-2013. They have a son, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom, who was born on January 6, 2011.

Relationship with Katy[]

Orlando and Katy met in January 2016 at a Golden Globe Awards after party. They have since been seen vacationing together in Hawaii, attending a friend's wedding in Aspen, Colorado, as well as other events. The two even posed for a picture together that Katy posted on her Instagram account titled "we cannes't" in reference to them being at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Orlando was even seen supporting Katy when she appeared at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

However, the couple confirmed in February 2017 that they had split. They resumed their relationship in April 2018,

The couple announced their engagement on February 14, 2019.

On March 5, 2020, it was revealed through the music video for Katy's single "Never Worn White" that the couple were expecting their first child together. On August 26, 2020, Katy gave birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
